parkinsons support groups

If you care for a person with Parkinson's Disease, we have several groups that provide support for you and the person you care for.

Parkinson Support Group (Salisbury)

Support Group specifically for people with Parkinson's Disease and their Carers. The Group enjoys social support, lunches and occasional days out as well as guest speakers keeping the Group abreast of local information. This group meets at the Jack Young Centre at Salisbury every Friday between 10am and 12pm.

Playford Parkinson Support Group

Support Group specifically for families dealing with Parkinson's Disease. Their aim is to support Carers and provide information relevant to the caring role as well as providing support and exercise for the person with Parkinson's. Both Groups join together on a regular basis and enjoy social time. Ring Brenda on 8284 0388 for further information.

This group meets at Resthaven Therapy Services at Elizabeth on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month and is run in partnership with Resthaven who provide the person being cared for exercise, advice and support.
